Do you have the light under his top screen or whatever covers tank? Only the T5 can be sat on top he's probably not getting enough UVBI feel like a really bad beardie owner, the worst.
I will start from the begining. I am 16 and have wanted a beardie for the longest time.I researched everything, built my own terrarium, bought lamps, evrything. When i got my beardie (july 20 2021) all was great,he was eating, being active. Then things went downhill. He stopped eating completly,so after a week of not eating i started force feeding (still am to this day).He kind of got better after that. Now,he can't use his legs,he has feeling in them (flinches when you touch his toes) but when he tries to move they go up and above his tail.Front ones kind of work, but most of the time lay flat along his body.To top it off he is 6 inches. He eats 2 dubias and every next one he spits out.I don't know what to do.First month he was on 10% uvb arcadia t8 and a 50w bulb, but when his feet started not working i upgraded to 12% +D3 uvb. I offer dubias and worms regularly but he just watches them,no intrest at all. They are dusted with calcium powder five days a week. His tank size is 100cm×50×50cm and he doesn't have any stress marks at all. Please help,i feel like crying and there are no reptile vets in my country (i don't live in the US)
What do you have on top of his cage? Are your lights under it or over it? The T5 is the only one that can be put on top of the screen. T8 UVB won't pass through. It sounds like he's not getting what he needs. Do you buy the other vitamins for him besides Calcium and D3?I feel like a really bad beardie owner, the worst.

The other thing is has he gone number two? If Impaction occurs it could cause that. Do you soak him in the tub regularly? Is he getting enough fluids? What does he have for floor covering? I always keep baby food in the house for my beardies and clear regular pediltye for babies. That way when they don't feel good I have the different things to help common issuesDo you have the light under his top screen or whatever covers tank? He could be in pain or discomfort. Could he have fallen off anything? Also, yesterday i wasn't home most of the day and when i came back he had really dark stress marks on his belly. I panicked and picked him up and held him and they just dissapeard. Why was he stressed?
Also, yesterday i wasn't home most of the day and when i came back he had really dark stress marks on his belly. I panicked and picked him up and held him and they just dissapeard. Why was he stressed? Don't give him anymore bugs till you figure out what is wrong. If you can go to grocery store get baby food prunes, pumpkin, and grab a sweet potato babies love those. If you can grab some clear Pedialyte plain. It could be something not so serious but you start their. Give him regular soaks in the warm tub. Just let him relax. Grab an eye dropper too and see if you can get him to eat some pumpkin it helps them go. Add some fluid to it and drop little drops over his mouth he will get the hang of it. If he can't poop you don't want to feed anymore bugs it will make it worse.
You can grab a couple little jars of the turkey or chicken plain just in case. That way he can still get the protein if he still doesn't want to eat come a few more days. The other thing is has he gone number two? If Impaction occurs it could cause that. Make sure your T 8 is not expired those bulbs expire in 6 months I recommend changing them out in 5 months and the distance should be 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor piece so he can sit under itOkay so,i have a t8 and it is inside the tank. I use paper towels on the floor of the tank, and no, i am using just calcium powder. He didn't fall because he was in the same spot i left him in just with dark stress marks. He does poop regularly, usually after the first feeding. He still doesn't eat on his own but has shown a little more interest in worms. I soak him every five days, or every other day when he sheds. We suspected impaction, because his back legs don't work, and he was on no sugar no salt pumpkin baby food for a week. There were no improvments what so ever. He hated baby food and we had to put the syringe (the smallest one we could find) in his mouth and give him a little by little.
I bought it two months ago and it is 7.5 inches away from himMake sure your T 8 is not expired those bulbs expire in 6 months I recommend changing them out in 5 months and the distance should be 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor piece so he can sit under it
He can wiggle up to the basking spot and he is pooping regularly. The right leg is kind of improving but the left one is completly limpIs his leg movement improving at all and is he still pooping regularly ? Can he climb to the basking spot on his own ?
I got him from a breeder. He sent me details about the tank and everything before i bought the beardie so that i can make it. The lamps and food are also from him.It may be that he jumped at some point and hurt himself, it's a very beautiful tank but very large for a baby. Still, if he's improving then that's great news ! Did you get him from a shop or a breeder ?
