Hi there, while this is technically about my beardie's enclosure, its more about placement in MY house lol.

I just got my first beardie 3 days ago. I was told he is 5 mth old. I had read before that they're quite social and like to watch you and be around everyone. I also read not to bother them much in the first week other than feeding, so they can destress and adjust. I really don't have a lot of placement options in my house. For now I have him in the living room which seems ultimately like the right spot. I do have 2 dogs that wrestle and play alot plus two young busy kids (4 and 8). I'm worried the four of them are potentially stressing him more than he needs in this first week of his transition. I see that he has a lot of long black oval like markings on his belly and a darkish dirty looking beard (not completely black like I saw on the one main page), which I read can be attributed to stress. He does hang out on his basking rock all day, and he has been eating a bit.

Is he more resilient than I'm giving him credit for? Or should I move him somewhere else?

I say leave him. It is a bit more stressful at first, but all my hatchling I keep where they can see everything and the ones I've done that with have ultimately been more bold and it takes more to stress them when they are older. I think isolation is bad for them.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
