I just went on vacation for 10 days and left my bearded dragon behind. He was taken care of while I was gone. I just came back and the past 3 days he’s been a little crazy. He keeps running around, glass surfing, and jumping around. I’ve taken him out every day and let him run around/give him attention. This doesn’t help him. His beard is sometimes black, but not usually. He hasn’t been eating hardly any insects lately and has been thowing his veggies across his tank. He has flipped his bug dish so many times. Is this bad? What do I do?
He is almost an adult. He came out of a semi brumation just before i left. He stayed here and my grandma took care of him. He stopped eating his roaches and keeps chucking his veggies everywhere. He seems to eat them though. But he just won't stop running around his cage. I keep taking him out and letting him run around for a while, but as soon as i put him back in, he goes to running around his cage again. He's doing it as a type this. Idk what is going on with him. He also hasn't pooped in like a week. I'm thinking a bath might do him good.
OMG same! I haven't gone on any vacation but, my dragon suddenly is glass surfing again and not wanting to eat as well. It all happened after I wasn't able to get him his crickets for a day due to holidays and he only had veggies to eat for a full 24 hrs.
He's almost 1, but hates all vegetables I've tried with him and will only eat a mouthful or two when I offer it to him and only if I'm not looking. He gets mustard greens, and endive sometimes individual sometimes mixed together, and occasionally the freeze dried topper stuff if I don't have fresh. He picks through that for the carrots. (Idk if this is silent protest behavior now or what)
He pooped in his cage when I was at work and got home to it being smeared everywhere from him running along the glass. And ever since getting that all cleaned up he's not really been devouring his crickets like normal or eating much of anything just doing black bearded sprints around the tank, which he hasn't done in MONTHS. (Used to when he was a baby) he calms down when I hold him but as soon as he's back inside, he runs. He also passed a super tiny poop the next day which is not like him.
He's in a forty gallon wide front opening tank, his temps have remained 100/80 hot/cool none of his decor has changed I use both under tank heat and over, coupled with a ceramic tile to keep the bottom warm. Dusted crickets are his first meal (when he's eating) every morning and I'll leave veggies for him in the afternoon to see if he'll eat any and before his bedtime he gets a few more non-dusted crickets.
If you figured out a solution or cause for your dragons issue please share it. For now I'm going to put up his "wallpaper" for lack of a better word.
