I'm curious as to if wild beardies are as docile as captive bred ones? If someone were to see one in Australia are they approachable or will they run away? Just wondering what thier behavior with human contact is in the wild if they were approached?
Somewhere on this site is a hilarious clip of Steve Irwin chasing down and catching a beardie. Who responded ti this indignity by biting Steve on the nose! :laughhard: Well he deserved it... the beardie gave him every warning a dragon could possably give! I don't know if they will all react this way. Dave or grixxly15(hope I got that right) Are both in Austrailia. I wonder if they know?
That video of Steve being bitten on the end of the nose is GREAT! He has mentioned before though that alot of them are pretty docile in the wild & can be approached pretty easily. He carried off a gravid female one time, to take back to his compound to help her out with digging a nest.
