Are farm-raised snails without shells an okay staple for a bearded dragon or should they be an occasional treat like hornworms? My dragon, Spirit, really enjoys her canned snails but I am worried about that. Her normal bug staples are dubias and bfl from my colonies and silkworms when I can get them.

Without knowing the nutrient contents, especially fat, I can’t really say one way or the other. I haven’t heard of many people offering snails, but without knowing, I wouldn’t exceed being the occasional snack. Eating foods high in fat can be harsh on the organs.

I seem to recall @kingofnobbys having some experience with feeding snail. Any thoughts/input?

Zee: if you search for “snails” there are a handful of past threads where it’s discussed a bit.

Here is one that mentions farm raised snails as a staple but not much other info.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
