Beardies and smoking?

I imagine like any other living creature that smoking isn't all too healthy for Beardies. My boyfriend and I are both heavy smokers and Nappy's viv is in the living room with us where we spend most our time. We don't smoke while he's out and don't blow smoke near his tank. He seems to be fine with it all I was just wondering what the risks could be. Thanks

Yes, I agree with Go Fast. Any creature that has a set of lungs is affected by second hand smoke, just as we are!

we smoke too.....not ciggys but i have a medical script for the other....anyways we make sure to do it outside the room where the viv is...and when we smoked ciggys we smoked outside....its a win for everyone....especially if it ever becomes time to sell the house

I know it's hard to stop smoking but...The same way you worry about your beardie inhaling the "bad smoke"...you guys should also consider the fact that you are also causing harm to yourselves by being heavy smokers.
I'm not pointing fingers or preaching ....I lost a few family members to lung cancer and it kinda hits home with me.. :|

Lou's previous owners smoked around him, the both seemed to be very heavy smokers (i spent the majority of one day with them lol)

Since i've had him it doesn't seem to bother him, he'll crawl up onto you even if your smoking. We put it out when he comes near us of course, it worries me a bit too...

Anyways I haven't noticed any effects and hes been smoked around for 5+ years
