Okay, sorry about that hahaPost the pic without the flashlight. The shadows are in crazy places but I think female. Tiny nubs just above the cloaca but should be easier to tell without the light.
I assumed she was since she’s always had that one bump instead of the two. Also, I put small spoon of baby food sprinkled with calcium up to her mouth and she licked some of it! It was only a little bit and she ended up refusing any more but I’m glad I was able to get a little calcium in her. I might see if she’ll lick a little more later.Yes, female. I always prefer pics w/out the flashlight
She’s definitely improving. I’ve been giving her water with a little bit of calcium mixed in it through a syringe (dripping it into her mouth) and she’s been eating the baby food as well. She’s also starting to eat more worms but we’re gonna start trying to get her to eat her veggies. Her sides are still hard and look about the same so we’re still keeping an eye on that. But otherwise she has definitely been more peppy from how she behaved beforeHow's Goose doing ?
Hi! So about Goose’s sides. I think they are looking slightly better… However, I’m still concerned about them and I’m wondering if they should be looked at again by a vet? I’m worried about it being yellow fungus.Glad to hear it ! You're doing a good job, go Goose. !![]()
I’m not really sure to be honest… I just looked at the old pics and feel like it looks the same :/ (There are still little spots that looked like blood on one of the sides but they’re much darker now and I don’t think any new ones) They are also still pretty hard. They are looking better ? Can you post new pics ?
I've wondered but haven't asked before, is there any chance that yellow fungus would have an odor? Tail rot also for that matter. I'm guessing tail rot for sure since the flesh is dead/dying but I'm unsure if the yf would have a particular odor.I think it looks better too. The tiny blood spots are gone and for the most part it looks almost completely normal. Just the one side has a very slight bit of yellow color extending to the under belly but it's just so vague. If you are worried it's up to you to have a vet check but be sure your vet is very experienced so they don't mess around, cost you money and not get it right. Only a skin scrape will tell for sure if it's Y.F and I'm doubting it BUT there's just the very slight possibility.
Yeah I agree, whatever is going on here looks mild at best.I've never heard of it having a smell but like you say , any necrotic wound could have it. This doesn't look like it would.
