Beardie vomiting, not moving

Hello, long time lurker here. Sorry for lack of introduction, but my beardie needs help..

I gave her a bath about an hour ago, during which she drank some of her bath water, then had a small poop. A short time later, she violently vomited some water up, and stopped moving, just lying there with her mouth open and her eyes bulging, but closed. She tried to vomit a few minutes ago, but seemed to struggle and nothing came up.

I've already called my vet, who recommended I let her lie comfortably in her tank and just watch her for now. She seems to be breathing deeply, but she's very limp and hasn't changed..

Any advice anyone can give me?


Edit: Still lying in same place, seems very weak.

She just gave a big exhale/inhale, made a squeeky wheezing noise..

No advice needed anymore. My little Flapjack passed away.

I'm so sorry about Flapjack ! Poor thing, I wonder what made her so sick ? Sometimes they aspirate water when being bathed, but it usually doesn't have such a fatal effect. I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry.
The symptoms you've provided sound like kidney failure - sometimes it's congenital. I lost one of mine that way, and a close friend recently lost hers to the same thing.

On the plus side, at least it was quick and she didn't suffer.
We know your pain, and we are here for you in your future endeavours, or if you just want to talk.

If you feel like taking on another dragon later on, may I recommend rescuing, rather than buying?
That way, you know you can make a huge difference to another beardie that needs the love. After all, your precious girl set you high standards already!
