Well, I was originally going to take my juvenile beardie with me on vacation in May but I took Steve (my beardie) over to visit a friend and her kids and they all fell in love with him and offered to take care of him while I am gone. I need help figuring out what to house him in while he is with them. It would be too hard to take his huge habitat to their house. Does anyone have suggestions on what I could use as a temporary habitat for him when he is being beardiesitted?
Thanks!
Amy
I'm also curious about this - I'll be traveling later in the year (my beardie will be about 8 months old), and I'm not sure who I'll convince to go digging for roaches/worms
when i only had the one beardie i dropped him off at a friends house. i used a 20 gallon tank as a travel tank. it was only for a few days and she took him out daily. he was fine, but seemed happy once he got back into his normal cage. you might be able to find one at a reasonable price (or even free) on craigslist.
now that i have 2, someone would have to come over to beardie-sit.
this seems like a good opportunity for the kids to learn about the dragons and taking care of them before buying one.
