My 9inch beardie is eating about 60-80 crickets/PW a day. He is starting to get a belly on him.. Should I be concerned about him being too fat? I read somewhere that they can overeat is this true? Should I be limiting his cricket intake more? Any help is appreciated.
Hi. They can overeat, but it is unlikely. They need lots of protein from feeders when they are young. My latest baby was eating almost 1000 crickets a week until he one day decided he didnt like crickets anymore. 100 or so a day is not unheard of.
Good luck with your new baby.
You tell us he has a cute little belly and you don't post pictures?! I think there are rules about that. You must post a picture. We love to look at baby dragons, especially healthy ones. :love10:
I read in several post last year, that if a dragon 's tummy cleared the floor when he ran he was ok. If you feel he's in need of exercise, you could have him swim in the tub. My Bogie loved the tub. He would swim from end to end and even go under water. Baths are good for hydration too.
