My beardie, who is just about a foot big (for some reason she never grew to full size even though she gets fed a good diet every day, has proper space, and heating etc. She seems completely happy and healthy but if someone thinks it's very concerning, I'll happily start a separate thread about it.) swallowed a whole superworm without chewing at all.

She loves superworms and has always been very good with chewing them up to make sure they're totally dead. But now she's got me scared that the thing could hurt her insides or something. This happened about 2 minutes ago and she hasnt been acting weird at all. Does anyone have any experience with this and know if she'll be okay?

If it was gonna be an issue it would have been immediate. 🙂

Hello,

I agree, the stomach acid will kill it even if he didn't chew up the worm very well.
As AHBD said, keep the temperatures optimal so that he can digest properly.
He will be fine!

Her stomach acids would kill + digest it , but you need to be sure you have proper heat of about 100-105 for digesting and not feed her too late in the day near the time that the lights/heat go off.
Although in rare cases some insects do come out partly undigested so it could cause some stomach discomfort but hopefully that won't be the case.

Hey, I just saw one of your posts from a few months ago, I’m sorry for your loss of Sweet Pea and Zen, I know that’s really rough, and I’ll keep you in my prayers!
