hi so I have my beardie spyro, he/shes about 8 - 10 inches long.
When I first got him he ate like a pig and slowly stopped eating.
He ate crickets the most, occasional superworm, some lettuce and I just tried wax worm the other day he gobbled 6 down and hasnt ate since. He'll lick his food but wont eat it. I have tried everything.
I have the correct lightening & temps.
Another thing I have noticed is he loves his basking spot very hot. he spends most his time there.
It varies from 110 - 117 as I live in the attic. The cool side has about 78 - 85. digital thermometer wire & probe
I am using a zoomed daytime bulb at 100watts in a 40 gallon breeder along with a reptisun t8 10.0 w/ hood.
what is wrong?
He might just be going through a moody phase. Do you see signs of a shed? Sometimes that puts them off of their appetite for a bit. How far above the basking area is your T8? That should sit about 6-8'' up for best results. If he is still active & alert I wouldn't worry about it too much for now. Just keep an eye on his weight.

I am a new owner.
In fact he is shedding on his tail. However I am not sure if it is the beginning or the end of it. its up to the middle of his tail a lil less. he is very active & alert.
He has two branches/trees one under the basking spot and one under the uv.
The hood is sitting on top of my screen.
