hi, my beardie luna is 8 months old and is very healthy, since it’s winter in australia she sleeps very often. luna is always begging to come out of her enclosure so i bring her up into my room where she’ll sleep. at first i thought she may be stressed which is why she takes naps but that is not the issue because she is very comfortable when on me or when she’s active. i’ve also considered that her lighting may be harming her but they’re white light emitting heat lamps. the warm side of her enclosure is up to 33 degrees celsius.
is it normal for your beardie to want to sleep outside their enclosure, especially if it’s during the day?
Yes all the time-- mine was out last nite in the evening I usually bring him out during the early part of the day but I brought him out last nite around 7 - was out maybe 10 minute looking out the window next thing hes looking for his nap place - and thats where he went - so I didnt leave him there for long as they usually get the lights shut off around 8 - but yes that is perfectly normal

thank you i was starting to get worried. usually luna sleeps at 9, but when i take her out at about 4 she goes to sleep and wakes up the next morning. sometimes i fear that she might not be able to regulate temperatures as it’s too cold out and because she sleeps too early to have a second feeding.
