Beardie sleeps a lot

Hello, my bearded dragon is not yet a year old almost in February! But he tends to sleep like a lot is that normal, like it’s 2:38 in the afternoon and his lights turn off at 6:30 and he is just sleeping in his basking spot.
Any ideas if this is okay for them to do!

Surface basking temps and UVB play a big role in this -- how are you getting the surface basking temps and what are they? UVB coil or a long tube fixture? We need to rule these things out -- it could be the time of year and weather as well but we want to make sure this is spot on to rule it out-- how old is the UVB as well

This sounds like fairly typical behavior. A lot of them tend to start slowing down around this time of year. We
can review your temperatures, & setup to be sure everything is all correct.
Is his weight stable? He sleeps in his basking area?

He weighs in the 300 he is a year old in February yes all the time as night but sometimes he takes a nap in his basking area say maybe an hour or two

Okay today he has been in his hide under is basking spot from 8:30-3 and is still in there should I stop feeding him and keep his lights off is this a sign
