My sister's bearded dragon is pooping blood. I brought her home with me today for a little bit, and when I was giving her bath, she pooped & at the end some blood came out. Her poop wasn't solid like my bearded dragons' poops usually are. I can't take her to the vet until next week & I'm really worried about her. She's coming to stay with me now. She eats crickets & some veggies(she's not very fond of them) that are dusted with calcium. She's on reptile carpet and has uvb & uva lights. I'm just extremely worried & don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
That is very serious. How much blood are you talking about here?
Some conditions such as heavy infestations of coccidia or hookworms can cause blood in the stool, but how heavy is the blood loss? Were the urates hard or soft?
How old is the dragon?
Was she housed on sand, at your sister's house?
Are you feeding appropriately sized feeders right now?
