Hey everybody. I'm a long time reader but this is my first post. I saw a lot of the "poop" threads but they all seem to be locked. Sorry if I am starting a new thread when there is one open. I have a beardie who is approximately 5 months old (named ducky). He is on repti-carpet with a 80-110 degree temp range with the proper uv lighting. He gets greens daily (collard greens, escarole, etc.) and has a healthy appetite. He eats plenty of 1/4-1/2 crickets and is well hydrated (I drip water on his mouth and he eagerly laps it up). The problem is that he doesn't seem to be pooping that frequently. He doesn't like to take baths so that is not really the solution. He seems to poop every 3rd day or so. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks everybody .
if the poop looks pretty healthy then I wouldnt be worried. Mine go through stages of going every day, then not for a few days etc. Is beardies stomach hard? if so, he might be constipated/compacted. theres lots of threads on the ER forum about how to combat that. As I said though, if the poop looks healthy and soft, I wouldnt be too worried.
His stomach doesn't feel hard at all. The problem is I don't see his poop usually until it's been sitting there for a few hours. I guess I'll keep watching. Thanks for the advice!
