Hello, just this morning when i awoke my bearded dragon i noticed his eyes were droopy and he was lethargic. He is moving his head slower than normal and hasn't moved an inch from the spot he woke up on. He was completely normal yesterday and also pooped yesterday. Any advice?
I dont really have any pictures of him in the current state as i had to turn my phone into AT&T for a repair, but his beard looks normal. I have reptisun 10.0 UVB, dome heating, 8-10 crickets a day and occasional veggies. He is around 10 months old. He shouldnt be brumating yet because its still in the 70s here.
My youngest dragon was born on Oct 1, 2012. Shi is trying to brumate, and it is in the 90's + every day. She seems to be healthy in every other way, with a fresh fecal check to make double sure. Sometimes they just decide to brumate when everything is perfect. Its a natural thing, and I have been told to allow her to do it.
Good Luck
How far is the Reptisun 10 tube bulb from him & is there any screen or plastic in between him & the light?
Is he losing weight or maintaining weight right now?
What are the basking temperatures for him?
We have one who brumated at 6 months & was fine when he came out.
I would get a fecal done to be sure he doesn't have worms or parasites first, then at his age, he could safely brumate as long as he doesn't have any health issues that need to be addressed.
