Over weekend, I made this - a petroglyph-style beardie pendant. My idea an my design. For those who want to replicate it, I show the tools used.

As giving the bearded dragon some spikes wasn't possible, I carved little double triangles on the sides of the pendant like the row of spikes going around a dragon's belly (similarly to symbolizing a mammal by also showing its fur pattern somewhere).

Thank you :) I thought about a style that is not the usual "cute" style (anime, beaded or such) because I just would not wear that.
The stone was from some assortment of pre-cut craft stones, not too hard to work with but also not too soft or brittle. Wood, or - super easy - polymer clay would for sure also work for a similar style. With a tool such as a "Dremel", a harder stone would also be possible to use.

(I do have another reptile pendant, not actually regarding bearded dragon but horned lizard (horny toad) and it's a paw print in pewter (I bought it some years ago at a national park), in style similar to dog paw print jewelry. They had a variety of wild animal paw prints.)

Thanks :) the most complicated thing was not really knowing the stone (something from a box of craft supplies bought years ago) and whether it will break.
If it had turned out to be too brittle, I had made it the same style from polymer clay (which I always have at home for modelmaking).

yes :) Indeed I love various kinds of "DIY", being it repairs, electronics, jewelry, drawing... Just crafts with fabric such as sewing, knitting... aren't my thing, but I will do if it's to alter something to make it fit, or to repair it. You won't find me knitting a sweater - but you'd for sure would find me repairing it, in order to have more time to spend with e.g. woodwork instead of having to go to buy a new sweater

This is so cool! I like how you stylized the dragon image. It looks so simple, but I would never have been able to come up with such a simple, but at the same time so complex drawing. I really liked it!
