Well, bathtime is over and he took a couple drinks of water. My wife said he was pretty active today, he didn't eat his greens but he was more active. During the bath he had his eyes closed still. After I pulled him out he did open one eye and when he got in his home he perked right up, guess it was the lights. I gave him 6 superworms and ate them right up. So he is definitely doing better. He is closing his eyes again as I type this.... so who knows.
Like I said the wife said he had been doing good most the day. Still no poop though. I am sure it will happen soon though. I will get a halogen to replace that basking light we have. There is 2 zoomed 4ft bulbs in there now. They are old and need to be replaced, should I get 2 bulbs or just one? It is a 2 light fixture. Thanks you for all the help.
Good that he had a nice bathtime today, & was pretty relaxed. I really think that he will get better here pretty quickly. It takes a bit of time after being under that type of light for his eyes to heal. I am quite sure it was the lights.
Once you have the better lighting in there it will make a huge difference. At least he was active today, too. He had 6 superworms too?
Well, that is up to you as to whether or not you want to use 2 Reptisun 10 flourescent tube bulbs. How close are they to him? If you are going to use 2 the emissions would be very good. Otherwise, use 1 Reptisun & 1 non UVB regular flourescent tube bulb for extra brightness along with the halogen for the basking. His tank should end up looking great after the changes.
