I have 2 juvenile beardies that are approx. 4-5 months old. I noticed the other day that one had about an inch and a half of its tail missing. One of the beardies is more active than the other and I witnessed it biting at the one that is missing the piece of its tail. I was told to purchase polysporin ointment by the owner of my local pet store. I am just wondering if this is the right thing to do.
Yes, you can clean the tail with diluted betadine & use neosporin or polysporin ointment daily to help ward off infection.
Then you will need to separate them so it does not continue happening. The next accident may be much worse than a tail bite.
