Beardie had eggs (fat pads help)

Hey guys my Amber had her clutch Friday afternoon (unexpectedly) she is basking and eating but I have no protein.

The place I get my crickets from was closed from Wednesday till tomorrow and I didn't have ANY crickets or bugs for her.

She is eating salads and squash like usual but when she gapes outside her "fat pads" are gone and a little sunken in.

I'll get them (crickets ) IMMEDIATELY tomorrow morning at 10 am and give her all the bugs she wants I'm just extremely concerned about her "fat pads".

Idk if I should go ahead with a emergency appointment on Saturday or if feeding her and giving her protein and calcium will be enough.

Note: She is a chubby dragon but when she sucks in her stomach (air plane going by or predatory birds) she's skinny.

She's probably really hungry, but I wouldn't take her to the vet. Just feed her well when you cab get bugs and make sure she gets plenty of calcium.

Hello,

This happens somewhat often, after laying, their fat pads become depleted. I think that once she
starts eating more protein hopefully her fat pads will start to fill out. Can you get some extra oral
fluids into her to help out with hydration. Definitely some extra calcium for a few weeks to help her
system's calcium levels.
I would watch her closely to be sure she starts to gain weight & her pads fill out. If not, then you
can definitely take her to the vet to make sure nothing else is going on.

I'm gonna feed her 1-2 times a day gradually with crickets and maybe mealworms but she generally doesn't like mealworms but won't hurt to try.

I wasn't expecting her to lay her clutch so soon she wasn't nearly as big as she has been previously when holding eggs.

I'm gonna be so glad seeing her perk up and replenish her pads and belly I WON'T be caught off guard again next time she lays.

She wasn't thirsty really I even chose to take her out every so often and gently drip water on her snout.

I gave her a bath yesterday morning and she wasn't drinking any water probably because I gave her water much more frequently even without a bath.

Hello,

How is your girl doing, has she improved some the last few days I hope?
It does make it hard on them when they lay multiple clutches, they can't recover very well in between
when losing fluids & fat, etc.
Let us know how she is doing.

She is doing better she has had watery stool and what looks like hard urate but it's gotten less and less last few days she has gone to the bathroom.

She has plenty of fluids so dehydration seems odd to me but other than that her appetite has gone through the roof and I'm wondering why.

She finishes both bowls of greens and will eat as many crickets as you wanna give her (she's a tad big/overweight).

I'm concerned over her appetite and hard urate though as I said the last 3-4 BM's she has had less and less hard urate and watery stool.

She went to the bathroom during a bath today and it was pretty firm and not watery and mushy very much.

Note: It's gross I know but I pressed and touched the urate and it was much firmer and not very hard like the last few BM's
