Our bearded dragon tryxie just ate a hornet alive about 30 minutes ago she seems fine but were just cheking to see what to do or things to watch out for. She has a normal digestive system so some say to give her a bath some say differnetly but if any one can help plz reply. :?:
Keep a very close eye on her. If she starts wheezing, has respiratory distress, or starts to black beard, take her to the vet ASAP. Some beardies are fine after this and some require medical attention.

i dont know about hornets but i do know lightnong bugs are DEADLY to beardies. i read that info from this sight as a matter of a fact. a vet was told by a patient that one night their beardie ate a lightning bug an died the next morning. the vet wanted to warn the rest of us beardie lovers. i think this is terrible so i am passing the message on.

Holly this is very true, lightening bugs are indeed deadly to all dragons. Thank you for passing this on.
Now op, if you haven't seen any signs of distress yet, I am sure you are okay, but to be cautious keep a 24 hour watch on your dragon, as sometimes they don't react immediately. However if you should see any of the signs that were mentioned above, then get your dragon to the vets' immediately !
