my buddy Agni has been showing some rather wild brumation changes
his first year he slept like a rock from the end of October to the middle of April
his second year, he slept like a rock, but woke up REALLY early, middle of Febuary, with a couple of feet of snow on the ground.
this year, he stopped eating and lazed around for a month or so starting in september, but is now awake, alert, basking, and eating like a horse.
to me it seems like he's either decided, or figured out, that he has no need to brumate. i just dont know if this is possible. i know beardies have their own quirks, is this one of Agni's?
I wish I knew what the trigger for them is. They tend to go to different levels of brumation at different times though. I'd just roll with it and if he wants to be up and about now, give him his usual routine. They seem to know what they need so I'd just follow his lead. I don't know why it's not consistent or what causes their brumation cycles though.
