When I woke up this morning, my beardie was eating out of his salad bowl, which wasn't abnormal. I went over to say hi and I noticed his salad was moldy! I had cut up collards, carrots, red peppers, and butternut squash the night before, and I usually leave it in the cage until morning because he likes to eat greens right when he wakes up. I've never had them mold before I removed them, but this salad was clearly fuzzy and moldy.
I'm not sure how much of the salad or mold he ate. He is acting normal, in fact I just fed him some crickets and he was his usual overly-excited self. I'm just worried that the mold might hurt him. Please help if you can!
(I wasn't sure if this counted as urgent but it feels urgent to me. Please move this thread if it is in the wrong spot.)
I understand why that would be concerning. Hopefully he didn't eat much (if any) of the moldy bits. I doubt it's likely to cause much issue though. He may get an upset stomach for a while but unless it was some kind of toxic mold (highly unlikely) then it probably just didn't taste very good.
