I live in Las Vegas and I've been to 4 exotic vets all have done x-rays and most said he's old and has arthritis give him carprofen, one suggested, meloxicam after those didn't work and he was still Blackbearding and walking lopsided, one vet gave him prednisolone...
All these oral medications let to an upper respiratory infection and he nearly died, to top it all off they gave him oral medications to fix his UI which was counterproductive because he'd choke even if given the smallest amount at a time. I finally asked the vet to teach me how to give him injections and now after a few weeks of Fortaz injections he's doing much better.
I was frustrated that I couldn't get answers about why he's walking the way he was and always seemed like he was in pain, his blood work came back perfect his bone density looked amazing, his husbandry is completely on point, 100 on the hot side (105 now because of his infection) 80 on the cool side, he's in a 4x2x2 with a 36 inch t5 HO 10.0 bulb and I have a solarmeter to check the strength of the bulb and always try and keep him in the Ferguson zone. He has calcium with D3 3x a week and repashy vitamins weekly.
I looked over the x-rays by myself and noticed if I'm not mistaken, what looks to be 2 fractured clavicles... Is there any experienced bearded dragon vet here that can help? Are these fractures?
