So my bearded dragon that ive had since the beginning of august has always had humidity in between 50-60. I havent ever been able to do anything about it, I am trying to get a new bulb thats higher what (i use 100w) but anyways so we went on a trip to saint louis for thanksgiving and brought him along in a small clear bin with blankets and a habba hut (uvb and heat as well) we werent able to get a humidity moniter but today I noticed him puffing his beard (which hes done a lot more here then he normally does) and then he opened his mouth extremely wide and pulled his head back with it open while still puffing his beard. Hes been alot more sleepy since weve been here. I dont think it could be mbd because he uses a vitamin d3+calcium dusted on his crickets everyday. He has always been healthy and showed no signs of any issues. This concerns me because I had a crestie recently pass to what we think was RI
Do you see signs of him shedding? They often puff out and flare their beards when they are trying to loosen skin. If you don't see a large amount of thick mucous built up around his nose and mouth, I don't think it's likely to be respiratory illness.

It turns out he had a massive shed coming, his whole beard and body was covered in shed, we gave him two baths. Im gping to continue to watch him though. Thx
