Bearded Dragon Paralysis

So about 1 year ago my bearded dragon laid eggs. She laid like 22-26 which is a little more than normal. After that she got really sick and lazy. I had to force feed her and realized she’s got a bump on her spine. She can’t use her back legs but sometimes they twitch here or there. If she poops then she can use them, or if I pick her up and she feels like I didn’t pick her up properly she’ll use her back legs to grab on and then the next second she can’t move them. Specialist say it could be the spine or it could be nerve damage, but they said surgery will likely kill her. I refused the surgery because I love her to much. They said she’ll live 3-4 weeks and it’s been a year and two months. She eats and looks healthy, but she can’t use her back legs and it hurts me because she loves to walk around, climb, and hide in funny spots. I need help on what I should do and any advice on if there’s a way to help fix her or should I just give her the best life possible with how she is.

Post pictures of her and your habitat please. Especially the lighting. Also give us a run down on your husbandry in general. Lets see if there is something out of whack that can maybe be corrected. I had a beardie that was paralyzed when I got her and with good care she regained some use of her back legs.

Hello,

Oh so sorry your girl is having trouble! She most likely drained her calcium reserves when she laid so
many eggs. Are you using a good UVB light & calcium supplementation for her?
It could be an injury from laying eggs too, I have heard of that happening before.
Have you tried water therapy before, to see if you can help to strengthen her muscles?
Please post some pictures of her for us, along with her tank setup also.
If she is eating pretty well & maintaining her weight, as well as seems to be happy, there is no reason
to consider putting her down or going through a risky surgery right now.

She is precious.
Like @KarrieRee asked, please add pictures of your lighting and also tell us any info you know about them.
Please go over diet and supplements also.
These are the things that usually lead to this kind of issue. (There is other stuff also like impaction or injury, but lighting and diet are the most common)

Hello,

How is your girl doing today? She looks very sweet there! Let us know what type & brand of UVB
lighting you are using. Which calcium are you using for her?

It’s been a month since I’ve joined bd.org! It feels like it’s been longer than that, but I’m glad I’m here and apart of this lovely community!
I can feel her staring into my soul demanding food
She was having a staring contest with a mealworm. I guess I never taught her to not play with her food, lol.
