Hello. I'm pretty worried about my bearded dragon she hasn't been eating in a few weeks now. I've had her since she was a baby, about 10 years. She's never been a big eater, and during the winter she goes through a hibernation sort of state where she doesn't do to much that lasts a week or two. But lately she hasn't been moving at all. She just stays underneath her rock below the heat lamp. I've checked on her everyday and tried moving her which is usually all it takes to get her moving. But now she just lays there for a bit before going back to her rock. She won't eat despite trying several of her favorite veggies and bugs. She seems under weight to me and her tail is looking odd, I've been keeping an eye on it fearing tail rot but it's been like that for years and was told it was just how her tail is... only now it seems to be getting worse. I've included a picture, please note that is not her regular cage. She's been so inactive I've put off cleaning her cage (It's not dirty like I said she hasn't been doing anything, I just like to scrub everything and give her fresh substrate every month or two) and this is what I put her in to clean it and take the picture without distractions. Apologize for the long post, like I said I'm worried.
My Beardie goes though stages of not eating as well and used to do this a few months ago, just very lethargic and not wanting to move. It seems to me like you are providing the essentials and may be a problem elsewhere. As it is such a long period of time I would reccomend taking your Beardie to a local vet this before the weekend if possible, just to eliminate any illness with your Beardie. If the vet doesn't find anything, it may just be a funny turn or brumation (See care sheets). Keep an eye on your Beardie closely, keep offering fresh food and water and try to encourage her to drink fresh water. The vet is your best option to ensure your Beardie is well and not ill in any way.
