Bearded dragon looks pale and gray

My baby bearded dragon was left alone for 3 nights with food and water. His lights weren't left on but we kept the window shade open for natural light. I returned to see him look pale and a light gray on head and body, his tail stayed orange but the tip of his tail is pale as well. He's eating well, had his warm baths, light a are back on daily, but why is he this color?

If you mean the difference in color of the body and tail, then this is a normal shedding, I don’t see any problems.

I agree it is shed. That being said, leaving his lights off is not a good idea, especially for babies. They need the basking to start the digestive process and the uvb to utilize calcium.
The easy way is to hit a pet store or lowes and pick up a couple timers. I've had the best luck with the ones from lowes. They are only like 15 bucks each. You need 2 one for the day time lights and one for the heat emitter at night (if you use one).
The one thing to be watchful for is the socket. Some only have two holes so a plug that has 3 prongs won't plug in. They sell an adapter for less than a buck.
