I’m a little thrown off on what they told me though, wondering if this sounds accurate.
The only place I could find was a ER Vet. They had me wait in the waiting room, then took me into a private room. Had me sign the euthanasia paperwork & said they had to do it in the back. 10 minutes later, he comes back out and says that it takes hours. That I should leave and they will call me back later today to pick him up.
(right away my mind goes to.. are they lying & letting him suffer in the back & charged me.)
Does euthanizing take that long?

I don't think it should take that long and why did the vet change from 10 minutes to several hours ? Maybe another emergency came in but they should explain why it will take hours. Your boy should be given a quick injection to end his suffereng. They usually alloew the owner to be there if you chose that. Did you pay already ?

Hello,

I am so sorry he declined so quickly like that. I think the antibiotics that were given made things worse
if he already had renal issues going on.
That does not sound right, at all!
Please let us know what happened & how you are doing.
