My bearded dragon laid eggs sometime in early June. She was with a male bearded dragon. The eggs still haven't made any sign of hatching. I'm afraid they' re dead but I checked for veins and there they were. I used the flashlight thing. They were bright red/orange. But I don't know what to do. I don't know. Help! And please come up with a answer soon. Yes. We put them in a incubator. With water in the soil. At 79-81 degrees fahrenheit. Yes. Yes. Yes. HELP! And if I am in school when it happens, will the eggs be okay? Plz say yes.
Hi there, just be patient....they can take 80 days or so at times. They will be fine if they hatch while you are away, they'll just be waiting in the little container . Hopefully your container has a lid . Can you post pics of the eggs ? Here's how :
Eggs look good. If there's no lid on they can possibly jump out [ most will be too tired but some might be able ] depending on how high the sides of the container are. Do you have the lid that goes to it ? If not, just keep that container in a larger container that they can't escape from. But I doubt they could jump out of this one.
Can you post a pic of the incubator that this is in ?
I do have a lid. But the edges are very high and a newborn lizard would NOT be able to jump up. Especially a tired one. I will send a link of what it is but I am unable to make a picture directly.

Could you tell me what to do with a moldy egg? I am not certain about throwing it so it is still in the incubator. Would it be cruel to cut it open to see if it was developing? I don't want to be cruel but... is there a way to do it without hurting the poor little lizard inside?
It's most unlikely but they are very fast sometimes , I hatched out a lot of them and they sure can jump if they are determined.
A moldy egg is probably dying but just in case, take it out and set it up in a very small container by itself. Use your thumb to make an indent for it to set in. Pick it straight up + put it straight in the new container.
We cut a moldy egg and the little lizard was out. It looks like he is fully developed. He was twitching. We put him in the incubator. Lucky WILL survive right? Is there anything we can do? Anything? Please tell me. Please! I don't need to lose Lucky. I don't.
He doesn't have yolk on him. It came off. Is that okay as long as we gently spray him with water? I don't want to risk it by moving him. Also, if one egg has a bump on the side, is it okay? Is it coming out? I can't take a picture right now but later on, tommorow, I probably can. Lucky and I will be waiting for you to tell us what to do!He hasn't moved a lot. He only moved in the beginning. Big twitched. I haven't checked a lot, but I'm not sure. Do they usually move? If he passes, how do I know? I hope that won't happen, but ya.
Lucky seems to be getting better. I looked at him just now and he seems to be unraveling. You know, not that way but he seems to be getting better. Also, he seems to have a weird, yellow blob in front of his face. That was not there before. It has red blood on it. Not much. Just a little. Could it be yolk? Does yolk form?
