Around a month ago my bearded dragon was chasing dubia roaches around the vivarium left and right but now she has lost her appetite but I'm not sure if it's just a age maturity thing or health issue. She is around 10 months old. I fed her 2 times a day and she used to eat them happily every time but now she isn't really interested in the first feeding but with perseverance she will manage to eat them but when it comes to the second feeding she has no interest at all and sometimes will just walk away from it or avoid the dubia roach. However she still does continue to eat her salad. Her activity has kind of change but not that much, she use to be quite active like running around her vivarium but now that has calmed down a bit but not drastically. So what's wrong?
I'm going through a similar situation with my beardie that's around 10 months old now. He started weaning himself off of two feedings per day when he was around 7-8 months old and now I only give him one evening insect feeding with veggies in the morning. Mine also used to be quite active and now he just lays around all day and has to basically be handfed his insects so he'll eat. The general consensus so far is just that he's lazy and it's an age thing. It might be that it's an age thing for your beardie as well.
They will be fine with one bug meal a day for now. Just keep the veggies handy every day. Before you know it, you'll be dropping to bugs every other day and veggies every day.
