Beach Bum Beardie (pic heavy)

Just got back from an eight day vacation to Manhattan Beach California, which of course would not have been complete without taking Scorch along with us. The weather was pretty nice most of the time and when it was we took her out to catch some rays and hang out on the beach! There were quite a few people who recognized her for a bearded dragon, and a few "Oh, look at that iguana she's got" But all in all she got smiles and we didn't experience any reptile prejudice.

Scorch applied for a position as a lifeguard but they said lifeguards couldn't run away every time you see a bird...Darn!

Mom remembers everything. She even brought a beach towel that was just my size.

I refuse to go to most of the pet stores out here because they don't take care of their animals correctly. It just makes me sad. Believe it or not, the only pet store that I have seen that takes really good care of their reptiles is at the indoor swap meet. Go figure. They are only open Fri, Sat, Sun, and every weekend are swarmed with herp freeks because we have all figured out that they are the best location for healthy animals. The people there actually know something about the reptiles that they sell too. Tre unusual!
BTW I love the pic of Dino on the guitar. Does he like music? Scorch loves it when my son plays his electric unplugged. She will make her way over to wherever he is in the room.

i spose he likes music. when ever i let him run around he ends up climbing the front of my amp or climbing my guitar its pretty cute sept he cant get past the nobs on the amp to get to the top
