You can get another piece of decor to put underneath - you can put or leave the uvb on top of screen just make sure it's 8-10 inches above

Gotcha, do you think it would be okay to put the uvb inside the enclosure on the door side pointed at and angle towards the basking décor? I should be able to get the perfect 12-15" that way. so like the attachment shows, mount it inside where the red area is marked pointed towards his basking decor where the x is marked inside the enclosure.

You can try that the reflector should help w/ the rays

Set up looks nice I like the little bed in the corner -- does he use it? How are you getting your surface basking temps? I dont see any gauges in the tank - I would get two digital probe thermometers one for the cool side of your tank and one for the basking side - place the probe on the spot where he basks and get a surface basking temp - you dont need to leave it there you can stick it on the side of the tank and spot check every 10 days or so -- stick ons are good for ambient temps - and I would invest in a digital probe hygrometer as well - place on the back center wall of the tank Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer | Dubia.com
Optimal humidity is 40-50% -- you dont want below 20% or above 70%

Just moved him over, checked everything with a temp gun and I’m continually checking it periodically. Think he will mess with the probe? I’ve had it in there for a couple days to make sure temps are stable but I took it out before I put him in. I’ve been home so I have just been continually checking with the temp gun. My humidity is good, hovering around 40 +\- 3 I recently added a dehumidifier, as the humidity gets up super high in the spring/summer. I’ll get those thermometers in there, thanks!!

And no, he hasn’t really used the little bed, I had it in his previous enclosure as well. I’m hoping he’ll use it, otherwise maybe I’ll switch it out for a different hide

Oh, I have a question about veterinarians as well, I called a vet near me as they see exotics and she said they have an experienced reptile veterinarian but she’s not a specialist (I asked if they have an experienced herp vet on staff). She said they can do checkups and treat some things but for more advanced issues they would direct me to a specialist. Would it be okay to go there for checkups or do I need a specialist right away?

Ok yes I would get the probes and I dont think he will mess w / them he may lick them - they are the most accurate for temps - after getting the temp move the probe and stick it to the side of his tank - it will give you ambient temps on that side -- I would leave the bed in there he will probably eventually use it - I did the same w/ my two dragons it took them awhile to use them - Blaze goes under his and Hiccup sits on it the way hes supposed to -- mine are more like pillows -
