I have a bearded dragon (Precilla) that is about 3 months old and was bit on her back leg. Precilla's leg is not being used at all she is 5 inches long head to tail end. I have removed her from the cage with the other dragon but am concerned that this leg is dead. I put some neosporin on it very lightly just so it doesn't get infected but it seems to be drying out and i'm thinking it mighy fall off. What should i do or what can I do. she eat crickets and cale but she hasn't ate as good since this happend on sunday please help she is so sweet. I also give her calcium and warm area in tank is 95 and cool area is 75 the tank is 36x18x18. please help! Thanks Liz
The first thing I would say is take your beardie to the vet. The vet can determine if your beardies leg is broken, if nerves are damaged, or if the leg needs to come off. I would not let it fall off on its own, it could get infected and cause more problems.
Sorry to hear about your baby.... I don't know about his leg,,I would say get her to a vet asap. In the meantime you should go to beautifuldragons.com and take a look at they're nutrition list..it is very good and explains what to feed daily and what to feed as treat and so on. I hope your baby is ok..and that you realize why they shouldn't be housed together. It is a hard way to learn that,,,sorry.
