Baby is doing good, I only noticed him shaking that one time (he was noticeably shivering a lot, but stopped soon after and hasn't done anything similar any other time), other than that he just likes to go to bed earlier and is slightly less inclined to constantly run around everywhere but not lethargic (tho I don't know how much is being-slow or just becoming calmer in his new home). His poops seem normal and healthy. He eats bugs almost daily but not as often as that but I can increase them. He used to only get calcium on crickets a few times a week but I've started putting calcium on them almost always and keeping his greens in calcium-mixed water. The calcium I have is zoomed Repti-calcium with D3: X
If I don't currently have the light set up like that is it better to put it over the gap like this in the meantime?
I don't think I would be able to wire it under the lid until I get a new lid as it has some holes in it bc when we first got it years ago the light was accidentally left on with it open over the tank edge and some of the plastic got melted into the wire which we cut out
Yes, it's better to at least have part of the screen slid open , try to get it a little more so if you can while still keeping the little guy safely inside ! If your screen is not the super tight mesh like window screen then more uvb can get through. If the holes are larger like in this screen in the links , more uvb gets through.
