I just got a a baby beardie 2 days ago and now he/she is not eating. The breeder said that he just fed it and that they usually eat 7-10 crix and he wouldnt need to eat for 2 to 3 days, but I read on here they eat like 20-50 a day so I tried to feed it the night I brought her/him home and it ate like 5-6 crix. I tried to feed the yesterday and today but doesnt even a ct interested in the crix. Ive put mustard greens and carrot slivers in there everyday and hasnt touched those either. When I hold him he tends to try and run for a sec then keeps falling asleep. but when i put him back in his cage he runs out of my hand. Should I be concerned? I havent had a beardie in awhile so I am worried. Please help. Thanks.
I would not be to concerned as of yet! A beardie usually goes through relocation stress so give it a few day and it should pass! You can still offer it to him! Good luck...
I wouldnt worry yet ither. I just brought home a young adult femaile and she didnt eat for a week and now she is finily starting to eat. I was worried to and didnt know why she wasnt eating. But now I see she was just stressed out from the move. It will be okay just try to relax and keep offering food.
So I tried again today to get him to eat, this time i used the calcium powder to dust the crix. (forgot to use it the first time) And he ate them up fast, maybe the powder made the difference? Ill try again tomorrow and hopefully he will eat again. Alos, I read you can use worms under the salad to eat his vegetables, what kind of worm and size should I use for a baby or should I wait on that till hes older? Thanks
