I just bought a small jar of Heinz Butternut Squash baby food for 8 mths and up. I want to use it like for beardie salad dressing. I phoned the Heinz people to see how long the jar would last after opening it. Of course they can only say for babies and not beardies. My question is, how long after I open the jar can it last in the fridge? I was told by Heinz 3 days but it will take me a heck of a lot longer feeding a beardie. How long do you people use it safely? Should I just go with what Heinz said? Please help. I trust what you guys say.
I use the same baby food and mix the calcium in it and mix it with the salad. It last me for at least a 6 or 7 days, and I have always used it up before it looked or smelled bad.
You could spoon a small amount of the veggie into an ice cube tray a freeze. Then pop out and put into a freezer bag until you need them and then let it sit out. I did this for variety. I had a sick bd and I didn't want her to have the same thing over and over.

Thanks, I just don't want to waste it and have to through out half a bottle or something. That icecube tray idea is great. Again thank you!!!!!
