I just read through your thread & just wanted to say what a great job you are doing with your little one. He looks fantastic, too much better than initially.
It sounds like he really likes the squash & powdered food, too. I think he is going to be just fine.
Once you get the new Reptisun 10 tube bulb, he will really take off.
He's eating a mixture of Fluker's Repta-boost, baby food (sometimes squash, sometimes mixed veggies, sometimes fruits), and calcium with a little water to thin, 2-3 times a day. Most days he won't eat the lunch offering. He still refuses salads and bugs, but is gaining weight and pooping normally. Reptisun came in and was busted, so I'm waiting on a replacement!! All in all, he's made a huge turn around. And he definitely knows who his mama is.
That is such great news! I'm so glad he's eating his slurries, the repta boost must be doing him alot of good. You can add baby food chicken to give him extra protein, too.
Hooray!!!!!! Sounds like baby is getting out of the woods if you ordered thru Amazon and explain the urgency, their customer service I've found to be very helpful, they may expedite if u tell them how urgent it is yr little one has the uvb.
I need to read back and get that slurry mix, seems my 3 month old has gone on food rebellion again too grrr
He has a uvb coil that we use for now. He seems to be digesting just fine using it until the reptisun comes in. This is how he spends most of his tank free time, holding my thumb while napping.
Another update: Elliot started eating in his own yesterday. He's been syringe fed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, up until yesterday. I had been very sick and didn't get his breakfast together until after lunch. Around dinner, I heard crunching and looked in there to see him eating pellet food!! He still won't eat his veggies and is still being syringe fed, but he's on the right track. Thank you all for everything.
Just wanted to update every one. It's been almost three months and Elliot is 100% back to health. We've also sexed her and determined she is a GIRL!!! She loves crickets, super worms, and crunchy orange bearded dragon food. She also has a big brother now. My sister in law moved 3 states over and rehomed her 3 year old male yellow beardie with us. He's awesome and HUUUGE. Thank y'all again for all your help. My baby girl is going strong all because of your guidance!
