Autumn's Shed Looks Like A Swimsuit

That was yesterday - though there hasn't been any new progress, that I can tell. (She did let me pick her up, though! Only wanted to be out for, like, less than a minute, but during that thirty seconds or so she didn't object at all to being in my hand. After, she let me know she was ready to go home by running to the edge of the bed and staring at her enclosure.)

She is so cute
She looks a little uptight though, I'm guessing do to the shedding.

She's been a bit more antisocial, if that's what you mean? Allows me to take pictures, lets me pet her sometimes, but doesn't generally wanna come out

Look at her eye 👁 see how wide it is? That's a sign they are on high alert, or feeling a little stressed.
That's what prompted me to say she looks up tight

Nods I think she's on high alert with me a lot, then... though it's hard to tell? Sometimes it feels like she's trying to ask me what the **** I'm doing more than anything... and there are definitely times her eyes are at least a little bigger than others? It's when her tail goes up near me that I tend to worry I've messed something up. Though, really, I'm still learning to read her in general.... You've seen other pics of her out, so you might know better than me. >,>

I know if she backs up it means she doesn't wanna be touched or held. (Sometimes she's fine with being touched, but not held, as seen by her staying still and letting me pet her but then running when there's a sign I might try and pick her up.)

She will get used to being handled, no worries. The shed makes them irritable a lot of times, its like dry itchy skin. Love her swimsuit though lol.

She's fine with it sometimes even when shedding - just not always, and it can be hard to tell until it's too late.... (By which I mean either she's run away from me already, and I feel bad for chasing her away from a spot, or she's already in my hand when she starts throwing a fit and I'm torn between immediately letting her go and trying to teach that this isn't the proper way to let me know she's not up to it.)

We're making progress, though. I'm learning the signs that say she isn't interested, and she's showing said signs a bit less as the days go by...
