Autumn hid last night and won't come out

I'm actually kind of freaking out? She skipped her dinner yesterday, and now she won't even come out of her hide for breakfast (greens) or lunch (insects). I don't like the idea of disturbing her in her hide, but... I don't know what to do? Do I just hope she comes out on her own, or do I force the issue...?

I'm kinda scared. Only the fact that I heard her scratching around in there earlier has kept me from melting down. DX

EDIT: She's three months old, for those who don't know, and it's currently 1:17 PM here. She sleeps in sometimes, but never this late... It is kinda cool in the room, though, and she's on the cooler side of her tank too...

Try setting the food where she can see it from her hide. I use hornworms to coax Lucy out of hers.

I have done so... She hasn't been responding to it. I'm not sure she's even facing the right direction.

Also, the hornworms are running out of food.... I might have to euthanize some of them at this rate. I only feed Autumn one every few days....

EDIT: Issue at least partially resolved. I kinda reached in and poked her, and that got her to turn around long enough to see the food. I lured her out a bit, fed her, picked her up, held her for a while, and then brought her to the hotter side of her tank to warm up.

Annnnnnnnnd now she's back in her hide, without even basking.... Should I be concerned?

Edit: She keeps coming in and out? She ate voraciously for her second meal - compared to very slowly on her first one - but didn't poop and didn't really bask, even if she was on the hot side of the tank.... She did come out of the enclosure? Again, I mean. For about 5 minutes. Then it was back to the warm part of the tank to hopefully digest.... but she went to the cooler side hide again...

You can feed the hornworms greens or carrots if they run out of food. Repashy also makes chow so you can replenish the original type 🙂

Shes a juvenile she should be eating daily not every couple of days

I don't think anyone said anything about not feeding her daily? Though she is currently hiding over eating her dinner.. She ate a big breakfast and a full lunch, though, so I'm not too worried.

Oh I think the confusion was that you mentioned you feed her hornworms only once or twice a week...that is perfectly fine. Too many hornworms will give her loose stools, so the once or twice a week on those is fine.

Autumn's doing it again.... Hiding without eating her second meal. DX I have Concerns, but I think it's just moodiness on her part... She came out and ate fine this morning, after all... (Still gonna worry, though.)

Maybe... I don't know. We'll see if she keeps it up tomorrow.... She was very voracious when it came to eating today, so it honestly doesn't feel like she's getting enough food, but she's the one choosing not to come out even when I try to tempt her with it...

Maybe you can increase her first feeding a little, see how see does?
