Hey there!
I know you also have a brb and I was wondering how your cage smells...
My newbie is in an 17qt plastic tub with holes drilled in the top. I keep hearing that with neonates you want like 95% humidity and I know my breeder doesn't even keep hygrometers and says that he wants to see condensation on the tank. So I've got that.
But the air in there just smells damp & stale.
Does your BRB's air smell... thick, but not exactly rank?

Ours is 2 years old now. When she was younger I kept the humidity about 75% in a 29G tank. Now she's in a 40G tank And it's about 70%. It's just the usual snake smell to me. When she was only a few months old she got out and was lost for 9 weeks. I think her weight went from 62g to 49g and gained most of that back in a few days (dehydration). I never misted, just kept the water bowl partially over the UTH (per HW) and covered 90+% of the top with aluminum foil and black duct tape. She's never complained!! She's up to 600g!! I haven't measured her in 6 months but she was about 3ft.
