So I had let Holly outside for some fresh air and real sunlight and also because I know how she loves to snack on the clover. I had figured she had more interest in the plants but of course still kept and eye on her just in case. Now I'm not exactly sure that she had eaten a wasp as she had faced away from me. What I do know is that she seemed to had licked at the grass but shortly afterwards heard crunching... now that doesn't sound like clover or grass... It may as well had been a dead leaf but I'm still a bit worried. I have her inside now and she's behaving as usual.. er, perhaps a bit worse since she's wanting to go back outside to have another little snack hehe.
Some of my dragons have eaten yellow jackets [ hornets ] while outdoors with no ill effects. She's probably fine. I was amazed that they didn't get stung + have a reaction in their throat or mouth.
I was as well. I seem to have a knack of a bit of bad luck with pets around wasps. Cat got stung, dog got stung, and now my beardie ate one. I suppose it could be a bit comical. So far she seems alright. I'm a bit more worried about what that wasp may have gotten into before being eaten. Or maybe if it had any parasites... I know beardies are immune to venom but not little creepy crawlies.
