I have another dumb question. Just to let you know I am not dealing with this problem now I am just wondering for the future.
When your bearded dragon gets older, and if he start to hurt because of old age can you give them a small amount of asprin. Like a small sliver of a pill and mix it with their water or baby food. I know you can with dogs and cats. I was just wondering. Thanks.
I really don't know about this. But what I do know is that asprin/tylenol (large doses) are really bad for humans - can cause liver problems - so I am assuming it'd be a bad idea to put it in that little beardie body. And it is so incredibly unnatural for them too..
I'm going to go with no on that one. Can't think of any reason they would need asprin. Dogs and cats do alot more walking and jumping around than beardies.....not to mention the huge weight difference. I just don't think it would be worth the risk. If your beardie is in pain take him to the vet.
No, don't give him aspirin. If he is in pain a vet might prescribe metacam or something similar, but human medications should never be given to a beardie. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your help. I did not think that you could, but I thought I would ask. Like I said I am not dealing with this problem now. I just wanted to know for future reference. Thanks again.
