Not pine or cedar, I got them from a garden centre in a bag and this man said they were specially made for reptiles but someone told me to replace them, just wondering.
Edit:Also is it ok to handle him or should I wait for him to settle in, i've picked him up a couple of times and he seems alright with it.
As a general rule of thumb, no loose substrate should be used at all for a dragon. And wood shavings would fall under the category of loose substrates.
Personally, I always recommend to handle only a minimal amount until they get used to their new environment, but some feel different.
Thanks, i don't really like the shavings much anyway and was thinking of getting them replaced by tile, I'll probably stick to handling him twice a day but the person in a shop told me 3 times minimum :? ehh as long as he's not actively trying to get away from me and taps to get out of the cage
