Hi! Simon is my new rescue and she wants more than anything to roam outside. In her old home her tank was cold and bare but they let her go outside a lot. Even with her new tank setup she is constantly attempting to get outside. I think she associates it with a safe place to bask and maybe eat yard plants.
Her appetite is okay, not the strongest. But when I’ve taken her out she’s tried to eat everything in sight!!! I want to let her roam and eat (while supervised of course) like she wants but I have no idea how to figure out what these weeds are and if she can nibble them. I know she can eat the mint. There are succulents and plumerias that I would not let her eat. I’ll attach photos and hopefully there is someone who has had this issue with similar weeds and has it figured out!
Someone on the forum told me about an app called PictureThis it's a plant identifier i haven't downloaded it yet but it looks pretty good from some of the stuff i was reading on it.
The fleabane is poisonous to humans and dogs so probably unsafe for Simon. I don’t know about the others. The pennywort is the most plentiful in the yard.
