I went to Pets mart today and all they carry is the Repti Glo bulbs and of course they were saying they are good bulbs and all that I know people don't like them but my Repti Sun is probably pushing around 7 months now and I figured it would be more safe to use the Repti Glo bulb instead on the old bulb until I have time to get a new Repti Sun but what do you think?
I have no scientific proof or anything but heres my little review on the reptiglo. Joyce's bulb shattered when I dropped it (clumsy clumsy me  ) so I found the repti glo bulb i bought for $6 at a reptile expo (yeah cheap, the petstore there had wayy to many like at least 50) and popped it into the hood. Joyce by the 2nd month was acting funny, she looked weaker and stopped eating. I kept her on it for 6 months, and I regret doing so. However, one week after installing a new reptisun she became her normal active self again.
The reptisun 10.0 is the best bulb. You can try the reptiglo 10.0 and see if you have problems. Just watch for the common eye problems and eating behaviors. Not all of them are bad. Good luck...
