So ever since I brought my female, Sienna, into my house, my male Hermes has been in a constant upset state. Originally she was in the same room as he was but I ended up moving her into my bedroom so he wouldn't see her anymore. Thing is, he still knows she's in the house. When I take him out of his viv and if the office door is open, he will make a bee line into the bedroom, turn bright yellow with a full black beard, head bobbing like mad.
What concerns me is that he refuses to eat much with her around. Rather, he spends his whole day head bobbing in his viv. Ten minutes after his lights turn on, he's basking on his log bobbing his head. He crawls up his decor, head bobbing. He takes baths, head bobbing. He sits on my shoulder, head bobbing. In the rare event he actually eats, he grabs a mouth full and while chewing... He head bobs! Honestly, it's crazy! It's like he went full blown hormonal after his semi brumation and he hasn't come out of it.
He eats only twice a week: only eating veggies. Live food? Pfft! Honestly, I'm glad Sienna makes up for his lack of an appetite. I'd have bugs through the nose right now.
Is there anything I can do to calm him down? He's constantly sporting stress marks and black beards and I can tell he's lost weight.
