Appetite has gone down and become lazy

Over the last couple weeks I have noticed that Zeus is starting to get very lazy. He used to chase his crickets around the living room, but now he has stopped. He will only eat if it crawls in front of him or I hold it for him. Even then he will only eat a few. Some days he will completely ignore and live feeders but will go crazy when I give him his veggies. I've also noticed he went from shedding every couple weeks and he hasn't shed in over a month. And he also does not poop every day anymore. He will go 2 or 3 days without going. He's not lethargic or anything, he still likes to run around and explore when I get him out. While doing some research I understand that this happens when they reach maturity? I've added some updated photos of him below.

As far as veggies I offer him mustard greens, turnip greens, and sometimes collards which he doesn't care for as much as mustards. I have tried him on butternut squash(have to be careful since sometimes he will only eat the squash)
I've also tried him on green beans and sweet potato. What are some other healthy veggie options you have tried with your beardie? I like to be able to give him a variety.

He looks like he's nice and healthy. If his activity level is normal that's a good sign. He may just be slowing down his metabolism due to age as you mentioned. It's good to offer him a variety of greens. I've had good luck with Turnip and Collards as staple greens but if he likes the mustards that's fine, those are an excellent staple. I usually add different kinds of squash to the mix, chopped green beans, strawberry tops, a couple of split blackberries for a treat. I'd rotate depending on what I could get fresh at the store. I reference this list for ideas. http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutritionframeset.html

Thanks for that!!! Yes his activity level has stayed about the same. He will lay on my shoulder longer than he used to before getting down to go explore. So I don't suspect anything wrong with him. Have been keeping an eye on him though as his poo is sometimes not all solid. He's been passing a good solid one followed by some mush and smells pretty bad.

Hi, I was going threw the same behavior with Smawg, I have several posts that I have made & reply's that might help you too. I went crazy when this happened, I didn't know if she was impacted, sick, going threw brumation, she was not pooping, eating, drinking, I was taking her to vets, she will be a year in march & still will not eat greens or fruits, just live moving insects & different kind of worms. Well she is back looking good & acting normal, after months of me worrying. I was feeding her baby food & a few other things mashed into a syringe when she was not eating, which she took very well. I had to soak her several times bathing too for she was dehydrated. I really don`t know what actually was wrong with her, But she is great now. back to pooping in her cage, eating like a little porky pig & roaming her cage. your beardie looks really good! a lot better then mine did when she was going threw this stage or what ever it was. I just wish mine would eat greens & fruits now.

Does this look like a healthy beardie

Aww your profile picture is precious ❤️‍🩹
Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
The head tilt tho! Aaaahhh
