Ok, here's my problem, everyday i come home from work, i find these little annoying ants eating my beardie's salad, i am worried because with the exception of my room (where i keep my beardie), the house usually gets insecticides, so i am worried about contaminated ants being eaten by Ace (my beardie) when he goes for his greens.
so i have been reading around and keep hearing about Boric Acid, i went to the store and the only thin i found was Orthoboric Acid, which apparently is the same thing... mix it with some sugar and warm water and you have a nice homemade ant trap...
Now my question to you guys is, is it ok to use the boric acid/sugar mix around the Beardie's tank?...
i am worried... any input will help... THANK YOU in advance...
Create a "double-sided tape" fortress around the tank perimeter. :laughing6: If you stop the ants dead in their tracks and they can't get to the salad, then they won't create pheromone trails. Other ants will see the trapped ants and leave the hostile environment. Just a theory.
First off i like your beardies name! Thats the same name mine has! And secondly if you use chalk make sure the chalk line is a solid line! I had ants in my house and they found the smallest of places to get through. Try to find where they come from and just block the path, if its a small hole somewhere use filler and the ants cant get through. Thats how i got rid of the ants in my house. Also don't forget about the uncles! They can get annoying too!
thanks guys!! i really appreciate the input... so i just use regular chalk?... like what a teacher or kids playing hop-scotch would use? or do i use that "Black Flag" And & Roach Chalk?...
Teage29, you have good taste in names for your beardie!!
